The best approach where the installed floor is anti-slip but the effect of the surface profile has been negated through a build up of ingrained dirt. By matching cleaning chemical to contaminant, and applying best practice cleaning procedures, ingrained dirt is removed and the floor's inherent anti-slip properties are restored.
Deep cleaning returns a surface to optimum anti-slip performance, but performance will decline over time (as dirt fills the surface profile and smoothes it), unless in-house regimes are perfect. We can provide advice on cleaning for anti-slip performance, and/or periodic deep cleans to ensure (and evidence) long term safety.
Necessary only where the incorrect flooring has been installed, or the surface has worn to the extent that the surface profile is inadequate. We identify surfaces in need of anti-slip treatment by first eliminating all other practical solutions (including deep cleaning). Anti-slip treatment creates a new profile, either by removing a microscopic part of the floor to leave it rougher, or by coating the floor with a rougher material.
Treated surfaces rely on the same effective long-term cleaning as any anti-slip surface. Wear may also be a factor depending on surface and solution, but can be countered by periodic reassessment and reapplication.
