Few dedicate their entire career to slip risk assessment but our Director has; he sits on the committee responsible for producing industry standards, has given evidence in the High Court, has trained many others in use of the Pendulum, and is active in groups writing the standards that define best practice. This isn't an academic role though, much of the knowledge has been gained (and is applied) conducting slip risk assessments on a daily basis.

What is slip testing?
Slip testing uses a man-portable mechanical instrument to measure the slip resistance of a floor surface. Coupled with a risk assessment it is an invaluable tool in identifying and reducing slip risk.
How does anti-slip treatment work?
Rougher surfaces provide better wet grip. Surfaces can be made rougher by a range of different approaches; deep cleaning, etching, or coating. The best approach will depend on the individual situation.
